We have heard of women being chastised for breastfeeding in public. Many women are asked to leave a public place or cover up when feeding their child. Those who oppose this strongly feel it is a woman’s right to nourish her baby and a baby’s right to eat.
But what about a 4 yr old who is pretending? What do you think?
Personally, I am of the mind that breastfeeding is nothing to be ashamed of, and those who are uncomfortable with it should take care of themselves around it if it happens in their presence. It follows then, that a woman who supports breastfeeding would be a model for a child who likes to play with dolls. I think this young girl is cute, and should be supported for her fantasy play of feeding her “baby.”
What do you think?
I have never heard of breastfeeding or, in this case, pretend-breastfeeding ever hurting anyone. I wish people would wig about things that do hurt people, like the U.S’s ongoing wars in Asia.
Well said!
I think people tend to get riled up over things that make them uncomfortable. I wish breastfeeding wasn’t one of those things, but I guess it is.
